5Morgan & Daphne Standing Over The Pool While Karadec Frees Oz On His Own

Karadec Is The Only One To Spring To Action

One of the most spectacular moments ofHigh Potentialepisode 13came when Oz was incapacitated in his railcar and abduct . It took a moment for the LAPD to check the cue leave behind by the kidnaper , but the Major Crimes squad find out Oz chained to the bottom of a residential pool . Based on the hourglass left behind by the culprit , he had been submerged for a severe amount of time .

4Tom Being Invited To The LAPD Gala

Tom Quit To Pursue A Career In Medicine

JD Pardo animate his role as Tom inHigh Potentialseason 1 ’s stopping point , but the portion circumvent his payoff were questionable at well . Tom accidentally calls Morgan near the beginning of the instalment , the first communicating seen between the two sinceMorgan and Tom ’s romance ended inHigh Potentialepisode 9 . After asking whether she ’d be attending the coming police blowout , Tom reveal he was invited as well .

Tom worked as a cleaner at the LAPD , but he was only present in a handful of episodes , indicating that his stint at the department was abbreviated . Tom being at the gala affair could merit suspension of unbelief if something valuable derive of his show , like a subtle implication that he was ask in Roman ’s disappearance , as a popular theory speculates . Unfortunately , Tom ’s riposte offered nothing of centre and felt like an unnecessary addition to theHigh Potentialfinale .

3Morgan Letting Karadec Meet Gio After Agreeing Not To Involve The Police

She Knew That Was Gio’s One Condition

The underlying storyline throughout the pilot film season wasHigh Potential ’s Roman enigma , which quickly developed after the introduction of Gio Conforth ( Domenick Lombardozzi ) , a shady informant . Gio made contact with Morgan intermittently to drip cryptic clues regarding Roman , revealing humble pieces of information as he independently investigate . Since his first visual aspect , Gio ’s one caveat to helping Morgan inHigh Potentialwas that he could n’t be see help the LAPD .

Morgan even discusses the no police force linguistic rule with Selena and Karadec at the beginning ofHigh Potentialepisode 13 , stimulate Karadec ’s insisting on coming together with Gio instead of Morgan all the more confusing . Unsurprisingly , Gio is upset when Karadec bursts into his hotel rooms , startling Gio ’s son in the outgrowth . Thanks to Karadec ’s over neglect for his one stipulation , Gio vow to hit himself from the investigation .

2Daphne Leaving Oz Alone After Volunteering To Guard Him

The LAPD Knew Anyone From The Grief Group Could’ve Been Targeted Next

The gifted ensemble cast is a compellingreason to watchHigh Potential , with Daphne and Oz ’s partnership arguably just as interesting as Morgan and Karadec ’s . by nature , when the LAPD realizes the kidnapper is targeting penis of the sorrow radical Oz attends , Daphne consecrate to have his back . Daphne then makes the baffling decision to get out Oz alone on the night of the gala affair .

High Potentialepisode 13 had already established what the kidnapper was able of , with Major Crimes previously saving two victims just in meter . It make no sense for the squad to explicitly discuss how Oz could be in danger , only for him to be altogether unaccompanied mere scenes later . High Potentialobviously needed to get Oz alone to kick off his abduction , but they could ’ve accomplished that without Daphne seemingly ignoring her obligation to protect her partner .

1Nobody Noticing The Kidnapper At The Crime Scenes

The Flashbacks Show Him In Plain Sight

WhileHigh Potentialseason 1 ’s endingincluded a shameful twist , one part of the cliffhanger seemed a slight unrealistic . After the kidnapper leaves a chilling message on a multitude of cards vowing that he and Morgan will“play again,”the scene is interrupted by flashback of the kidnaper watching Morgan solve his riddles . The reveal was worrisome , but it also call in into question how he was in the same room as the LAPD without a single soul comment him .

High Potential changes thing up in the season 1 finale with 1 creative conclusion that breaks a year - long drift for Kaitlin Olson ’s series .

During the scene at the abandoned art gallery,“David”doesn’t even appear to be hiding behind anything . Based on the camera frame , all Morgan would have had to do to see him is turn more or less to her right . Of course , the shot could have been dramatise or shown through the kidnaper ’s delusional , egotistical perspective . Although a few moment did n’t perfectly ensnarl with the plot , no amount of nitpicks could cancel out the triumph that isHigh Potentialepisode 13 .
