InInfinite Frontier # 3 , Barry Allen aka theFlashis being exploit byDarkseid . In the first issue , Barry bumble across the Omega Planet while on his multiversal mission for Justice Incarnate . However , unbeknown to him , Darkseid and Psycho - Pirate have been operating on the Omniverse ’s young planet , preparing for a young Crisis . Barry was captured and has since been work under Psycho - Pirate ’s manipulative control . At the end of the first result , it was teased that Barry would be a major factor in enter and finding members ofDarkseid ’s new USA . This progress to complete sense because of his ability to quickly jaunt between realities .
The Flash is a mantel that has been taken on by many characters . Arguably , Barry Allen is the most notable , but he was n’t the original Flash . Everything started with Jay Garrick , aka the Flash of DC ’s Golden Age . Barry know that he has to save the multiverse , but is incognizant of himself being manipulated .
It ’s unclouded thatDarkseid needs the Flashto pass exceedingly fast , most likely to power whatever he ’s got planned . Extreme amount of DOE are shown to be siphoned off of Barry , who has used similar devices - like the Cosmic Treadmill - in the past to travel between realities . By identifying one of Barry ’s few psychological weaknesses , Psycho - Pirate is able to motivate him to run faster than ever before . It should be note that Barry does remember , at least a bit , where he was last , exemplifying how substantive it is that Psycho - Pirate prefer the complete conjuring trick to keep him motivated .
So , how on Earth is Flash supposed to miss , given that his mind is being clouded by his captor ’s manipulations ? Barry will never miss trust in Jay , and his own heroic inherent aptitude are near unlimited , suggest he ’ll need to be saved by his Justice Incarnate allies rather than being capable to free himself with an act of will - after all , he ’s select to persist , not being forced .
