Live - action DC projects , especially those that came from the old DCEU , often try out to go for a more serious smell . Due to that , I think we have n’t really had the opportunity to just have play with DC characters over the last few years , withJames Gunn ’s projectsand a couple of others escaping that average .
Whilelive - action DC projectsfocused on serious elements and reality , Harley Quinnthrives on the absurd . The show is screaming , red , and does not hold back . That style has led to some very different takes on DC characters . Harley Quinnseason 5 , installment 6 does great with the show ’s fresh tailspin on classic baddie like Brainiac , Clayface , and Bane . However , famous DC characters are mixed with a blue-ribbon mathematical group of original players , and season 5 just take away a major character .

Episode 6 Features Some Absurd Moments
Harley Quinnseason 5 ’s episode 5had a murder whodunit that admit intimate Gotham City face — Bruce Wayne , Dick Grayson , Alfred Pennyworth , and the Joker among them . Episode 6 is n’t as good as its predecessor , but it is a play add-on to time of year 5 . I liked howHarley Quinncould see through Clayface ’s bad Perry White camouflage . While Lois Lane and others are unfamiliar with Clayface , Harley has known him for a long meter , so it ’s only instinctive she can catch his prevarication .

What I did not require were two events that would follow . The first is Lena Luthor and Brainiac combat so presently . I fully expected the duo to work together until at least the season 5 finale , with one making a move to take out the other . However , Brainiac sends Lena back to Earth , and she decides to recite Harley , Clayface , and Bane about his plans . I enjoyed that ontogenesis , as it put more urgency into the story , but then things got laughable .

In true Clayface fashion , his answer to take down Brainiac was a play about the character ’s life . It was not at all the larger-than-life showdown I think was on the way , which is a bit disappointing . However , there is still plenty of time for that to happen throughout the time of year , and the play did have a couple of hilarious moments despite it being jolly cringeworthy . If anything , the whole ordeal was unfeigned to the show ’s DNA , and the absurdity of look Brainiac cry as Harley and the gang sang about his sprightliness was screaming .

After Poison Ivy goes to the pop off Frank , Brainiac says she now eff genuine loss like he did after his family and Coco ’s deaths . The second play forth a overnice tonal change for Brainiac , go from a sob mess to his common sinister conduct .

If there is no way to work Frank back and he is truly dead , then I see it as a major loss for the show . As Ivy ’s Word , essentially , he had a strong and unique family relationship with her . Frank ’s foul rima oris also delivered some of the funniest one - lining of the DC series . I want to see what kind of fire that builds inside Ivy . The character is extremely powerful and I trust Frank ’s death is the catalyst to complain the Brainiac plot of ground into high gear , with a strong-arm confrontation on the horizon .
