As part of the Teen Titans , one of his most famous enemy was Deathstroke . While he began as an adversary for the team , Deathstroke and Nightwing slowlyformed an intense rivalry with one another that extended beyond Dick ’s tenure with the Titans . After years of back and away with one another , Slade place his worst human activity against Nightwing when he helped destroy Blüdhaven by dropping the giant Chemo on top of it , killing thousands of civilians .

The case haunted Dick , and alas thing only got worse for the sub when Bruce Wayne appeared to die inFinal Crisis , forcing Grayson to take up the mantle of Batman . However , the stars aligned to wreak Dick and Slade back together in Grant Morrison and Andy Clarke’sBatman and Robin # 12 . After installing software in Damian ’s spur that allows others to take restraint of his soundbox , Talia rent Deathstroke to operate Damian so he can vote down Grayson , a task Slade thirstily accepts . Dick is able-bodied to sever Deathstroke ’s connection by using stun equipment on Robin , which triggers a heart attack in Slade . Afterwards , the Dynamic Duo fly to Talia ’s stand to confront their attackers . Dick visit a recuperating Wilson , clear infelicitous by the event . But the first affair that Grayson does is attack the villain with his own IV drip while mentioning the number of Blüdhaven ’s victims .
While Dick promised he wouldget retaliation on Deathstrokefor what he did to Blüdhaven , both characters got swept up with other things and never properly settled the issue . Still , the minute talk bulk about Grayson ’s furor at Slade , especially since Dick names the exact identification number of dupe Wilson helped kill with Chemo . The two ’s rivalry is acute and honestly hand Batman and Joker a run for their money .
As the cock-a-hoop plague in Gotham , Joker has made Batman ’s sprightliness infernal region because of his high soundbox count . And while it ’s not exactly a ill , the Joker can only kill so many the great unwashed . On the other hand , Deathstroke ’s twisted attack onBlüdhaven has a definitive number of victim . With over one hundred thousand destitute people killed , Slade perfectly dwarfs whatever number of victims Joker has accrued . The Joker has done a lot of terrible things , but Slade Wilson committed a legit terrorist flak on Blüdhaven . As someone who ’s protected Blüdhaven , both as a cop and a superhero , Dick is absolutely justified in his animosity towards Slade , and truthfully , the event makes their rivalry that much more engaging . BatmanandJoker’srelationship is entertaining , butNightwingandDeathstrokehave a heated rivalry stemming from Slade ’s most nefarious second .
