Previous issues ofTitans Unitedhave construe Conner struggling with his world power , determine as how they ’ve been fading to point of disappearing completely from time to time . While it was of course frustrating and touch on for Conner , Jason Todd did n’t help affair by being antagonistic , exacerbating the two heroes ' competition . However , Superboy was eventuallytaken engrossed by Starfire ’s malefic sister Blackfirewho restored Conner ’s powers while corrupting him into being her handmaiden . Renaming him as Black Zero and giving him a raw lawsuit , Conner ’s first military mission was to take down his former team while Blackfire devise to invade the Earth .

While the other Titans are unable to discontinue Conner inTitans United # 6from Cavan Scott and Jose Luis , Red Hood decides to call Conner ’s four flush that he ’s too far proceed and willing to kill his teammate . Daring Superboy to murder him , Jason intromit that he shares Conner ’s desire as they both need to demonstrate that they ’re not pale imitations of their predecessor ( Superman and Batman ) .
