In the latest issue of DC Comics’Teen Titans Academy , themysteriousRed Xhas finally gone too far , becoming a legitimate threat and peril in the DC Universe . While the foe has been bedevil the Teen Titans Academy since the start of the series , he ’s always seemed more groovy on taking down the idea of the Titans as an initiation rather than doing anything inherently evil or harmful . However , that ’s all transfer with this new issue , when some of the Teen Titans get an offer to impart the school behind .
Having come onto the scene in the first military issue ofTeen Titans Academy , Red X is apparently one of the schoolhouse ’s many students who decide toresurrect the villain part Nightwing once usedto get secretive to Deathstroke when he was a Teen Titan himself . While Red X ’s true identity element has been unknown and the series ' large mystery story , his motive have been pretty clear . look at the idea of the Roy Harper Academy as no more than a means for the Graeco-Roman Titans to enrol new cannon fresh fish , Red X has been endeavor to take down the schoolhouse from within .

That being say , Red X has n’t really done anything all that malicious or evil beyond hacking into some systems , blockade the Suicide Squad , and examine to convince students to join him rather than remain with the Titans . However , when the classic Titans villain Psimon secretly spend a penny an offer to a handful of the students to join his Fearsome Five inTeen Titans Academy # 9(from Tim Sheridan and Mike Norton),Red X becomes unhinged . tempestuous that his fellow student would consider leaving one regular army just to fall in another , Red X believe that Psimon is fudge their thinker despite the scoundrel ’s hope that he is n’t . Red X loses control powerful as the rest of the Titans show up , seemingly decapitating Psimon with one of his signature weapons .
After this brutal execution , it see as though the Titans are finally going to take Red X more severely as a legitimate threat , specially now that he ’s leave the honorary society along with Matt , Tress , Alinta , and Dane , all scholarly person who werequestioning the classical Teen Titans leadershipas their teacher . However , the plus side is that the Titans should now be able to nail exactly who the student under the mask is by checking to see who ’s no longer at the school ( beyond the four Titans who alike leave . )
While it seems the closed book of Red X is about to come to a stopping point , the true conflict may have only just begin . Being a student , Red X is still young , which means this may have been his first murder . By crossing such as dark line , who knows what else he might be equal to of as the series continues?Future State : Teen Titansrevealed a time to come in which Red X accidentally do the remnant of day in his progressively drastic attempts to destroy the Titans , and it may be that the come clash is what inspire him to take such drastic steps . Hopefully , the module ofTeen Titans Academycan find a better fashion to look at withRed Xnow that he ’s been revealedas a true threat to those around him .
