When Robin and Flatline first meet , Robin had contempt for the cheery , fighter . After being vote out by Flatline , Robin ’s notion quickly develop to begrudging regard which then softened into a real admiration . Both of them divvy up key aspect , such as an interest in manga , and a feeling that they are living in their respective wise man ’s phantom . What makes Flatline interesting though is how her blood and relationship to her mentor run counter to Robin ’s . Flatline was born to an average family of Gothamites , and it was her own interest in dying and the growing of her unique powers that drive her to seek Lord Death Man . At that spot , Lord Death Man figured that it would be a great calling move for Flatline to record the Lazarus League and train by absorbing the skill of fighters in the tourney as they exit .

Robin and Flatline ’s story shares several parallels . Whereas Robin was born into a family that encouraged bloodlust and a fascination with last , Flatline ’s family essay to shelter her from it . Batman and Talia attempted to dissuade Robin from joining the Lazarus League , whereas Lord Death Man encouraged Flatline to join , seeing the obvious preparation opportunity . The thing both of them share though is that both of them act as a tempering presence to their respective wise man . Flatline accommodate that she feel like she ’s teaching Lord Death Man about how to be a mentor ; Robin on the other hand has historically been a calming presence in Batman ’s life , as a young affirmative mind totemper Batman ’s notorious   rageand loom demeanor . While both Robin and Flatline are still learning a lot from Batman and Lord Death Man respectively , the truth of the matter is that the sidekicks are also teach their wise man key lessons , and their shared awareness of this fact is a slap-up sticking pointedness for any future romantic human relationship between the two .

While Damian Wayne is far from an average adolescent , it is clean that he has developed some character of attracter to his fellow Lazarus League contender , Flatline . RobinandFlatlinemay have a lot in common , but their origin tale and how they got to the league take completely dissimilar flight . It appears that opposites truly do draw .
