I cerebrate Jude Law’sStar warfare : Skeleton Crewcharacter provides us with a glance of the darker lifeEzra Bridgermay have had to endure had he not been find by the Ghost Crew inStar Wars Rebels . Skeleton Crew ’s Jod Na Nawood , a.k.a . Captain Silvo , a.k.a . Crimson Jack , is not mysterious because of his many aliases . No , Jod is mysterious because we still do n’t know if he can actually use the Forceor not . one-half of the show ’s lost kids think he can , and the other half think he ca n’t . I ’m still on the fencing , however .
Of course , as “ Captain ” Fern place out too soon on in the show , Jod could have easily fake his habit of the Force in the brig using various illusory techniques . If he can touch base with the Force , why would n’t he use it while retrieving or combat SM-33 ? Something fishy is going on , that ’s for trusted , but I choose to believe it ’s because Jod was either a youngling at the Temple when Order 66 come about , and thus his skills with the Force remain rudimentary , at undecomposed , or for another reason totally ; one that gives him a commonalty with Ezra Bridger .
What If The Jedi Order Never Discovered Jod Na Nawood’s Force-Sensitivity?
Jude Law himself has hinted thatJod has endured a tough and traumatic puerility . In my barbarian dreams , this implies that hesurvived Order 66as a youngling , much like Reva inObi - Wan Kenobior Grogu inThe Mandalorian . That kind of awful experience would mark anyone for animation , let alone a child – it would make sense for Jod to sour away from the Jedi and use his elementary acquirement with the Force only as and when it accommodate him . What if he ’s just trying to survive ?
Though Skeleton Crew has yet to support whether Jude Law ’s character can really maintain the Force , I really desire he can . There ’s so much potential .

Having never been trained in any variety of capability would explain why using the Force is n’t second nature to him , as you ’d expect from someone who spring up up with the Jedi , and why he does n’t apply it in combat or stressful place . If this is the eccentric – I ’d be well-chosen either way , to be dependable – then it would mean thatJod Na Nawood shares a very particular trait withStar Wars Rebels ’ Ezra Bridger .
Ezra Bridger Was Alone With The Force Before The Ghost Crew Found Him
Those who are only familiar with Ezra Bridger fromAhsokamay not get laid this , butEzra was unaware of the Force or his connection to it until he was more or less 14 years onetime . Ezra was born on Empire Day , and by then , the Jedi Order ’s destiny had been sealed . It certainly took Ezra a while to get the knack of things , even with Kanan ’s help . ThoughEzra has become an unusually powerful Jedi , he might never have been able to let loose his true skills if he had n’t had someone to mentor him . Perhaps that ’s what Jod has been omit as well .
What If Kanan Hadn’t Trained Ezra Bridger? He Might Have Become Like Jod In Skeleton Crew
What if Kanan had n’t been capable to train Ezra , though ? What if the Ghost Crew had never get on Lothal , or they ’d simply not crossed way of life with him on the street ? Ezra ’s life would have turn out very other than . Before he run across Kanan , he was stealing to survive ( though admittedly , he was mostly stealing from the Empire , leaving his neighbors alone ) . He ’d fall behind his parents , his home was being brim over by Imperials , and his hereafter was bleak and lonely .
In that character of situation , it would only be natural for Ezra to repair to theft , and perhaps even piracy . Star Wars Rebels ’ version of Ezra became friends with various pirates easily enough – his relationship with Hondo Onaka is a personal favorite . There ’s every reason to think he could have joined up with pirate if he was still looking for a place to go and a sentience of family , peculiarly if he never met the Ghost Crew .
Pre - RebelsEzra andSkeleton Crew - Jod are n’t so dissimilar . They ’re both pixilated , a morsel avaricious , a little secretive , and a lot lonely , but ultimately , they were n’t and are n’t really malign .

What if that ’s what chance to Jod as well?What if Jod lose his family when he was young , and that ’s what led him to a life of plagiarization and spacefaring?Pre - RebelsEzra andSkeleton Crew - Jod are n’t so different . They ’re both mischievous , a bit prehensile , a footling secretive , and a pot lonely , but ultimately , they were n’t and are n’t authentically evil . They need someone to moderate them on a good way of life . Kanan and the Ghost Crew did that for Ezra inStar Wars Rebels ; perhaps the At Attin kids will still do that for Jod inStar warfare : Skeleton Crew .
