In describing her first cousin ’s last visit to Barenton , before he was deliver by the Justice League , Supergirl tells Ruthye that Kalndescribed it as “ the most painful experience ” and “ the closest to … decease .. he ever got , ” even after his literal experience with death at the hands of the creature Doomsday . Jon Kent (AKA Superman’s Young Adult Son) with Kryptonite in the background

Supergirl lasts on Barenton far longer than Clark ever did , but that does n’t neutralise the danger of the weaponized world . Though she finally escape , Barenton very near killed a Supergirl , who ’s long been established to be tougher than her more illustrious cousin . And the fact thatSuperman describes this worldas the closest he ’s ever come to death - even after his real death at the hands of Doomsday - talk volumes about the type of suffering this world bring down .

Doomsday may have been the monster that kill Superman , but the planet Barenton hurt him that much more . And while Kara does manage to escape its treacherous confines , it ’s exculpated that such a feat is n’t something any DC Comics hero can take on lightly . With any luck , SupermanandSupergirlwill be able to steer vindicated of Barenton from now on - or else , likeDoomsday ,   it may well be the death of them .
